Degree Requirements: Bachelor of Arts in Geology

The BA program is designed to give students greater flexibility in designing a program of study tailored to their specialized interests in geology and the related sciences.

MATH 1340 or (MATH 1320 & 1330) or an approved higher level math course
CHEM 1230 & CHEM 1280
7-9 additional credits of approved electives in astronomy, biology (including EEES ecology courses), chemistry, engineering, geography, and/or physics
4.  Additional Requirements

Students must achieve at least a 2.0 GPA in the major.  Additional geology courses may be taken but only a maximum of 40 credits may be applied toward the degree requirement.  All courses in the major and related areas  (sections 2 & 3 above) may not  be taken as P/NC (pass/no credit).
