Katie Green, M.A. Student
Katie Green received her B.A. from the University of Toledo, and has just begun her second year in the M.A. program.
During her undergraduate career she worked for the Center of Teaching and Learning as a student observer. She also spent time in the Canaday Center working on the University’s archives. Katie wrote an undergraduate thesis on Lady Mary Wortley Montagu and the Inoculation of Smallpox. She was inducted into Phi Alpha Theta in the April 2006 and graduated with the honor of the Randolph C. Downes award, for being the outstanding undergraduate in the History Department and was nominated for the College of Arts and Sciences outstanding student award.
For her M.A. program she will continue in the field of British history, focusing on Empire. She will again be teaming up with Dr. Peter Linebaugh to further her understanding and knowledge of British History.
A native of Gahanna, Ohio (near Columbus); Katie has lived in Toledo the last six years. She lives with her boyfriend Steve, their rabbit Crescendo, and their kittens Mocha and Spice.
