Lee Heritage

Lee Heritage is associate professor of music at The University of Toledo where he teaches theory, composition, and the history of rock and roll. He is also the head of the composition program at the Brevard Music Center in Brevard, North Carolina. Dr. Heritage's prize winning compositions have been performed throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. His Man for All Seasons (1995) was commissioned by the Toledo Symphony Orchestra and performed by that group under the direction of Samuel Adler. He has performed as a jazz guitarist, classical guitarist, and lutenist in jazz bands, with orchestras, and in numerous chamber ensembles. Dr. Heritage received a bachelor of music degree from Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music, a master of music from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a doctor of musical arts from the University of Illinois. He resides in Toledo, Ohio with his wife Amy and their son, Evan.
