Information for Students

WHERE DO I BEGIN?

Career Exploration

Students who are just beginning the career development process  need to perform considerable self-examination before considering an academic major or career path. All College of Business Administration students will take Career Development I and II, BUAD 2000 and 3000. These two required courses lead students on a logical progression through the four stages of career development. However, students who wish to get a 'head start', prior to taking Career Development I and II, may considering visiting The Occupational Outlook Handbook or Americas's CareerInfoNet, two of the most widely used, respected resources for occupational information.

RESUME WRITING RESOURCES

Resumes are living documents subject to continual revision. Although there are abundant available resources, students are advised to have trusted professors, mentors, colleagues, and supervisors review their resumes to offer feedback. The College's Career Development Lecturer will review resumes and offer constructive feedback during her office hours. Prior to visiting Amy, review some of the following resources for resume assistance. Bring a draft to your visit to maximize one-on-one appointment.
