    Payment of Educational Fees/Fee Waivers

    Full Time Employee:

      • Up to 8 credit hours of tuition per semester, general fee, one time application fee & new student fee.
      • Eligible for payment of undergraduate or graduate level degree track course work.

        Note: CWA, UTPPA and AAUP employees should refer to appropriate collective bargaining agreement regarding this benefit.

        Part Time Employee (at least 1/2 time):

          • Up to 8 credit hours of tuition, general Fee, one time application fee & new student registration fee paid at pro-rated based on FTE status.
              • e.g.: 20 hrs = 50% payment
          • Eligible for payment of undergraduate or graduate level degree track course work.

        Note: CWA, UTPPA and AAUP employees should refer to appropriate collective bargaining agreement regarding this benefit.

        Spouse/University Registered Domestic Partner of Employee:

          • Eligible to use fee waiver after Employee has at least 1 year of permanent employment service working at least 1/2 time.
          • Spouses/DP of Part-Time Employees will only be eligible for pro-rated payment schedule
          • Spouses/DP of employees hired prior to December 31, 1995  are eligible for payment of tuition, general fees, one time application fee and new student registration fee.
          • Spouses/DP of employees hired after Decemeber 31, 1995 are eligible for the above payments but must pay all general fees.
          • Eligible for undergraduate degree track course work only.

        Dependent children who meet the IRS definition of a dependent:

        • Eligible to use fee waiver after Employee has at least 1 year of permanent employment service working at least 1/2 time.
        • Dependents of Part-Time Employees will only be eligible for pro-rated payment schedule.
        • Eligible for payment of tuition, one time application fee and new student registration fee.
        • Eligible for undergraduate degree track course work only.

         

        In case of the death or retirement of an employee who has completed five years of service with the University, the fee payment entitlement will continue for the surviving spouse, so long as he or she has not remarried, and for any dependent children of decedent or retiree.

        CWA, UTPPA and AAUP employees should refer to the appropriate collective bargaining agreement regarding this benefit.

        University Departments can order a supply of Fee Waiver Forms from Office Depot.
