Full-time faculty, unclassified and classified exempt staff and UT police are provided with LTD coverage in the event of permanent, total disability. After six months of disability or the end of the accumulated sick leave, whichever is later, LTD coverage provides 70% of the employee’s monthly base salary, not to exceed the maximum monthly benefit less other income. CWA members are covered by PERS disability benefits when vested after five years of service.
