    T99163, Post Doctoral Research Associate, Medicinal and Biological Chemistry

    T99163, Post Doctoral Research Associate, Medicinal and Biological Chemistry: 
    The Post Doctoral Research Associate will be responsible for the synthesis of small organic molecules as potential anticancer agents and testing them for their anticancer activity. The candidate will also carry out the synthesis of nanoparticle/quantum dot conjugates and molecular wires incorporating redox-active molecular probes for examining biochemical processes and to be used in biochemical sensors. The Post Doctoral Research Associate will also carry out routine duties related to general laboratory maintenance.

    The desired candidate will possess a Ph.D. in organic/medicinal chemistry or in a related field with experience in synthetic organic chemistry.  Experience in quantum dots, molecular wires, bioassays will be an advantage, but not essential.
