The Literacy Educator Training Consortium (LETC) is an advanced program in literacy education that prepares Literacy Consultants, School Literacy Consultants, and Early Language and Literacy Consultants to serve districts in school improvement status and early childhood centers. Successful completion of the program fulfills requirements for a Literacy Specialist Endorsement.
Camp AdventureCamp Adventure allows students to travel and work in such international locales as Japan, Korea, China, Germany, Russia, England, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Iceland, and Taiwan. Travel expenses and a stipend are paid and students can receive up to 12 hours university credit.
UT3, UToledo.UTeach.UTouch the FutureUT3, is the only program in Northwest Ohio that recruits, prepares, and supports science and mathematics teachers to teach specifically in high need schools, where there is a nationwide shortage of qualified teachers. UT3 offers students academic, financial, and professional support, which provides them with the foundation to become exemplary teachers.
Becoming a Teacher at The University of Toledo is intended to serve as a guide for our teacher candidates, their respective cooperating teachers, university faculty, university supervisors, and the school administrators who assist UT students during their field placements.
