    Program Overview

    Foreign Languages offers the Master of Arts and the Master of Arts and Education in German.

    Of Special Interest

    In recent semesters the German program has offered  a variety of courses‚ including Business German‚ cinema studies‚ genre studies‚ linguistics, and a teaching colloquium.

    Curriculum Information

    Students must satisfactorily complete at least 18 hours of graduate credit in German‚ including courses 5010 and 5020; satisfactorily complete an additional 12 hours in German or in approved cognate courses; pass a comprehensive examination; and demonstrate a reading proficiency in a foreign language other than the major.

    Admissions Information

    We accept applications for our program year round.  The priority deadline for fall applicants is January 15th, and offers the best opportunity for funding considerations.  Applications thereafter are processed on a first come first served basis.
