Alcohol Facts!
Why Alcohol is not Gender Friendly
Studies show that men and women are effected differently because of alcohol use not based on the amount drank, but because of the genetic differences between men and women.
Men have 61% of Total Body Water.
Women have 52% of Total Body Water.
So men's bodies can absorb alcohol better thus making it more diluted once inside the body)
Men have more and women have less of a body agent known as Dehydrogenises, which allows men to break down alcohol faster than a women can, thus making the period of intoxication shorter.
Because women have menstrual cycles they have bodies that fluctuate the intoxication levels and in men the intoxication levels always remain constant due to men not having body changes each month.
Alcohol increases estrogen levels in both men and women, but in men it can cause loss of hair, muscle mass, impotence and shrunken testicles. Women are effected depending on whether they are on birth control or other birthing medications.
