The University of Toledo offers students the degree of Bachelor of Science with a Major in Athletic Training. This degree combines a strong science base with a specialization in athletic training. The required course list for a Major in Athletic Training is shown in another section.
Athletic Training is offered by the Department of Kinesiology. Students who pursue this major earn the Bachelor of Science with a Major in Athletic Training.
The UT Athletic Training Education program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education, and has been either NATA-approved, CAAHEP-accredited, or CAATE-accredited for more than thirty years.
The goals of the Athletic Training Education Program at the University of Toledo are to prepare students for entry-level positions in all employment venues of athletic training and to provide them with the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the Board of Certification Examination.
These goals are achieved through a combination of coursework and clinical experience, conducted under the supervision of a nationally recognized group of academic and clinical athletic training faculty.
Graduates of the program are employed in high schools, clinics, colleges and universities, industrial settings, military settings and professional sports throughout the United States.
Congratulations to the Class of 2008. There were 18 graduates, 1 Summa Cum Laude (>3.9 GPA), 6 Magna Cum Laude (>3.6 GPA), 3 Cum Laude (>3.3 GPA), 5 Division I Graduate Assistants (Virginia, Georgia, Ball State, and Toledo), 4 in DPT Programs (Toledo, LIU-Brooklyn).
