Microform includes formats such as microfilm, microfiche, and microcard; all of which are photographic reproductions of material that are reduced in size and require special equipment to view. You can take a quick 'virtual tour' to get an overview of what Microform & Multimedia can offer.
Microforms are found in the Microform & Multimedia area located on the west side of the third floor of Carlson Library. The collection is staffed and open the same hours as the Carlson Library Circulation Desk.
Printed guides exists for several of these collections and are housed in Microform & Multimedia.
The department staff are happy to assist you in using any of our equipment, just ask!
To view the microform collections, there are four microfiche/microfilm digital scanners that allow you save a digital copy on your UTAD (university) computer account or on a CD (available for purchase for $0.50). You may also print copies from microform for $0.25 per page. There is also a microcard reader, but no scanning or printing is possible from microcard.
Additionally, Microform & Multimedia offers three typewriters for the public, particularly useful when you need to type on a form.
