PsycINFO, the electronic counterpart of Psychological Abstracts, is a collection more than 1.5 million references to psychological literature spanning 1887 to the present day. Updated monthly with approximately 5,500 new references, PsycINFO covers all types of publications that the American Psychological Association (APA) examines regularly to identify psychologically relevant material, including journal articles, dissertations, reports, English-language book chapters and books, and other scholarly documents. The database is enriched with literature from an array of disciplines related to psychology, such as education, business, medicine, nursing, law, and social work.
Historic PsycINFO (1887-1966) contains abstracts from Psychological Abstracts back to 1927, Psychological Bulletin from 1921-1926, and all APA journals and the American Journal of Psychology back to their first issues.
