Permissible Reduced Enrollment
If you need to register for less than full-time, 12 credit hours= undergraduate 9 credit hours=graduate you need to get a letter from your department
Permissible Reasons for Reduced Enrollment:
Illness or Medical Condition
Improper Course Level Placement
Initial Difficulty with the English Language
Initial Difficulty with Reading Requirements
To Complete Course of Study in Current Term
Unfamiliarity with American Teaching Methods
Graduate students only: as long as the student is pursuing what the institution considers a full-time graduate program i.e. research or work on their dissertation

This is written to confirm that YOUR NAME is presently pursuing a Masters/Bachelors degree in FIELD OF STUDY. He/She is expected to complete course requirements for His/Her degree at the conclusion of Spring 03, Summer 03, etc. YOUR NAME has a final Number of credit/s or has a final thesis degree requisite. He/She will be required to register for NUMBER semester hour/s through his/her expected completion date of DATE.
