    Women and Philanthropy Activities & Events

    UT’s Women & Philanthropy celebrated its first grant awarded to local artist Tom McGlauchlin by revealing his glass sculpture on Thursday, May 29, at 5:30 p.m. in the Canaday Center for Special Collections in Carlson Library. The sculpture by will be placed in the concourse outside Carlson Library.

    In addition to the grant announcement, Jeanne Drewes, chief of binding and collections care from the Library of Congress spoke on methods to preserve family treasures from wedding dresses to letters in an exciting presentation on "Preserving Our Heritage". Drewes also shared behind-the-scenes stories of the Library of Congress and talk about its history.
