WELCOME, COMMUTER STUDENTS!

Welcome to campus, Commuter Students!

As a commuter student at The University of Toledo, the Office of Student Involvement serves as your point-of-contact throughout the year to ensure that your transition to campus is a smooth one. We are so pleased that you have chosen to attend UT.

The Fall Semester will begin with New Student Convocation on Sunday, August 24, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. in the Student Recreation Center on campus. The formal Convocation will end at 6:00 p.m. and will be followed by a Welcome Dinner in the Flatlands (located between Parks Tower Residence Hall and the Ottawa River, west of Parking Lot 10) at 6:00 p.m. There will be entertainment and student performances in the Flatlands from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Pride Packs will also be distributed during this time, providing you with several important items required for your first year at UT, so it is important that you attend this fun-filled event welcoming you to the Rocket Family.

The Office of Student Involvement houses Commuter and Off Campus Services, which provides support to all commuter and off campus students at UT . We are hosting a WELCOME RECEPTION just prior to Convocation designed especially for you:

The Student Recreation Center is located off the Douglas Road entrance to campus at Oakwood Drive. Parking is available in Lot 18 behind the Recreation Center and the Computer Center.

The purpose of the Welcome Reception is to provide commuter and off campus students with the opportunity to meet and mingle with other students prior to joining the campus community at New Student Convocation. The reception will also allow you to meet faculty and staff who can assist you with your connection to The University of Toledo and assist in making your college career successful! We hope you will attend the Welcome Reception as part of the New Student Convocation events!
