Greek Life at The University of Toledo is comprised of 30 organizations. The organizations fall under four different umbrella organizations: the Interfraternity Council, the National Panhellenic Conference, the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc., and the Greek Independent Board. Fourteen of our Chapters are housed in McComas Village, which was built in 1990 to show University support for Greek organizations.
Students who are a part of the UT Greek Community are engaged in a plethora of service, leadership, academic, and social endeavors all around campus and throughout the Toledo community. A huge focus of the Greek Community is uniting the different councils as well as bringing together the campus as a whole through various programming efforts. Traditionally, students involved in Greek organizations hold more leadership roles on campus, perform more service hours, and get better grades than those students not affiliated with Greek organizations. Greek organizations also enjoy collaborating with each other and other campus organizations for opportunities of brotherhood, sisterhood, and socializing!

Founded November 1, 1901 in Richmond, Virginia, Sigma Phi Epsilon has grown to be the largest active undergraduate member fraternity in the nation. The twelve founders established SigEp based on the love of God and the principle of peace through brotherhood. This is reflected in our cardinal principles of virtue, diligence, and brotherly love. The Ohio Iota chapter here at the University of Toledo is truly one of the top chapters nationwide. A fraternity of firsts, Sigma Phi Epsilon was the first chapter to abolish pledging here at the University of Toledo. In its place is the Balanced Man Program which places emphasis on campus involvement, community service, and constant involvement with the fraternity during all the undergraduate years. As a result Sigma Phi Epsilon has had the number one GPA of all IFC organizations for nearly a decade. SigEps can be found in nearly every major campus organization and often times in executive positions. We are an organization that strives for excellence in everything we do and will continue to bring honor to this campus and Greek life in general through our involvement, academics, and values. | Delta Delta Delta The ladies of Delta Delta Delta were founded in 1888, upon their motto to “Steadfastly Love One Another.” Our sorority strives toward a perpetual bond of friendship and putting others before ourselves. It is this goal that brought us to form a partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in 1999. This chapter is proud to say that last year alone we raised $41,195 towards this partnership, making our philanthropy first in Toledo Greek life. Along with philanthropy, we were also first in songfest, and our efforts do not stop here. This year our sisters are working on a charity Christmas CD in which 100% proceeds will be donated to St. Jude. Above all the Phi Alpha chapter was recognized at our National Convention in Chicago this summer and was given the honor to sing some of our songs to chapters attending.
