    Ruth L. Meinhart, Director

    As assistant dean/director, Ruth is responsible for the day to day operations of the Student Success Center. She and the Academic Committee oversee honors, probation and suspension decisions for the Student Success Students. Ruth sits on the Associate Deans Council. She also coordinates activities for the Center for Advising Excellence.

    Nancy’s responsibilities include answering phones and making advising appointments. She is in charge of all front office activities and supervises the SSC student workers.

    Rose Marie Ackerman, Program Manager

    Rose oversees the UC 1000/ QUEST course (Orientation). In addition, she serves as the coordinator for the CAP (Career and Academic Planning) House, a living-learning community for QUEST students as well as our annual Majors fair, Major Palooza. She also teaches sections of UC 1000 and UC 1120 for CAP House students.  Rose is also the liaison to Residence Life.

    Lisa Bollman, Academic Adviser

    Lisa advises undecided (QUEST), transfer, conditional and transition (TRAN) students; teaches a section of the fall orientation course (FYI); represents the SSC as a liaison to the athletic department pertaining to issues of academic eligibility and oversees the Rocket Launch Program for our college.  She is also the liaison to the Judith Herb College of Education.

    Kathy advises undecided (QUEST), transfer, conditional and transition (TRAN) students in the Student Success Center.  She has also taught a section of the fall orientation course (FYI).  She is our liaison to the College of Business Administration.

    Kathy Jensen, Academic Adviser

    Kathy advises undecided (QUEST), transfer, conditional and transition (TRAN) students; teaches a section of the fall orientation course (FYI); and teaches a section of “Back on Course” each term.

    Terry Lentz, Assistant Director of High School Initiatives/Academic Advise

    Terry works with a team in the High School-to-College Academic Initiative’s Office.  He also advises Post Secondary Enrollment Options Program (PSEOP) students. Terry coordinates the Career and Self-Evaluation classes and maintains the SSC website.  Terry is also the liaison to the College of Engineering and Pharmacy.

    Tracy Long Romer, Academic Adviser

    Tracy advises undecided (QUEST), transfer, conditional and transition (TRAN) students. She also handles all the reports required by the Student Success Center through the data warehouse. She is also the liaison to the College of Arts & Sciences.

    Jennifer McDowell, Academic Adviser

    Jenny advises undecided and transfer (QUEST) and transition (TRAN) students, teaches a section of the fall orientation course (FYI).  Jenny also advises students at Monroe County Community College and Owens Community College as they pursue an easy transfer to The University of Toledo.  She is also the liaison to the College of Health Science and Human Services; Admissions Office and the Transfer Council.

    Cynthia Spitler, Academic Adviser

    Cynthia coordinates the Academic Skills Enhancement advising for University College. Cynthia’s job also involves advising undecided students in the Career and Academic Planning (CAP) House living-learning community in the Crossings Residence Hall. She has taught the FYI orientation, Career and Self-Evaluation, Social Gerontology, and Social Psychology courses.
